Analytical Platform
LC-MS methods are among the most widespread analytical techniques available today for the qualitative and quantitative investigation of small organic molecules, since they provide highly sensitive and specific detection even in very complex matrices. Their field of application extends from pharmaceutical analysis, to environmental and food analysis.
At the CISI the main role of LC-MS is to support the combinatorial chemistry operation, with further assistance in the purification of synthetic compounds through a highly efficient MS assisted preparative HPLC method.
The following industrial applications are readily accessible with well established processes in our laboratories: characterization of chemical libraries, isolation and characterization of reference compounds, determination of the impurity profile and structure elucidation of unknown impurities, development of fast and selective analytical methods for small molecules.
